Guido de’ Costanzo is a painter and sculptor living in London (UK). By employing traditional techniques coupled with molten metal he creates contemporary abstract canvases in a unique way, conveying his deep passion to explore the contrast between order and chaos.

Guido contacted me to develop his new website. The work we did aimed to:

1. Develop a website supporting all desired features (social media sharing, newsletter, e-commerce) presenting his artistic work at its best, through a contemporary design built around the identified style/market.
2. Maintain stylistic consistency across the various projects to characterize the artistic profile with a precise visual brand.
3. Accentuate the visual impact of the works while offering a simple and "light" interface for the user with the possibility to enlarge the images of the works for sale by hovering (a "magnifying glass"), providing also space for text (in-depth information on the technique used, captions, artist statement, biography, etc.)


Specifically, the work involved:

• Opening an account on the CMS platform

• Web Design (3 layout proposals, CSS customization, styling)

• Architecture (menu and structure proposals)

• Site Development

• Editing (image selection) & Sequencing

• Copy Editing (Statement and About page)

• Domain Transfer & Site Activation

• Management Coaching

The New Website was developped in 3 weeks, at the end of the work Guido told me he was extremely happy of how “clean and simple” everything looked, giving his striking paintings and visionary art the space to “breathe”.

It was an extremely interesting experience for me learning in detail how his ideas came to life and seeing the stages of production of his work; it’s been a real pleasure working with Guido, not only artistically but also on a human level, a kind, sensitive and very original person all round.
