Michela Taeggi was born in Varese (Italy), she lives and works between Milan and Bergamo. Since 2007, she decided to devote herself exclusively to photojournalism, and her images started to be published in several Italian magazines. She works on assignment as well as on personal projects, focusing on reportage and portrait photography, with a special attention to themes related to social issues. While working as a photojournalist she also uses the language of portrait as an intimate form of narrative expression.
In 2013 her project “Love grows” was shortlisted in the Sony World Photography Awards, “People” category. In 2014 her project "Barefoot in the Wood (The Silence of Trees)" has been selected at the 4th Annual PAA 2014 - with an Honorable Mention. Her work is inspired by the constant need to deeper understand issues related to our society and current affairs.

I worked with Raffaela on the Post Production, Editing and Sequencing of my latest work, "The Silence of Trees". Her experience has been very valuable to me: since our first meeting, she understood exactly what I was looking for and what "mood" I wanted to give to my project. From the very first post production tests I could see that she exactly hit the target I had in mind.
As for the Editing, she managed to select and sequence my photographic project at its best, adding value to each single image. Working with Raffaela was a very interesting and instructive experience. Thanks!
